On Tuesday, April 24, 2018, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Fattah Abdulrahman, a lecturer of Scientific Debate Module and Mr. Cheiyee Salih Ajaj, the Coordinator of Physics Department, First- Year Students of the Department of Physics visited Kashe Electricity Generation Station in Kashe Zone. This visit was organized by the Physics Department-University of Zakho in order that the students could view the electricity generation equipment available.

Furthermore, students could observe how electricity is generated by using gas fuel. This visit allowed students to observe many types of energy that exist in this station and how chemical energy converts to heat energy, to mechanical energy, and then to electricity energy. The visit provided a practical experience to underpin the theoretical knowledge that was taught during the academic year.
